Using Twitter to Learn Korean

Haha! I know what you’re thinking… how does Twitter help people study Korean? Indeed, Twitter does in fact help!

Ever since I have started to learn Korean, I have been tweeting in the language whether it was phrases like “안녕헤세요”, or even “잘자요”.

By using Twitter, I have been able to improve my Korean sentence structures whether that was simply by tweeting, or @replying other users!

The great thing about this was that no matter what your level of Korean (or any language) is, you can practice your Korean whether your vocabulary consists of 5 words or 5,000!

Here’s what I do:

  1. First learn grammar or vocabulary word
  2. Go on Twitter
  3. Tweet something using the new acquired grammar or vocabulary word.

For example, If I learned the word 시내 (downtown), I might tweet:

  • 시내에 티셔츠를 살 거야.

Do you use any social networks to study Korean?
