This is without a doubt best website ever created! I’m so excited about this website that I’m going to write something in red font below:

WITH SBS AUDIO AND LANGUAGE YOU CAN LISTEN TO PODCASTS/RADIO SHOWS IN ANY LANGUAGE RANGING FROM KOREAN, PERSIAN, TO FIJAN AND YIDDISH.

The main SBS page

Yes! The SBS Australia website offers endless podcasts and radio shows in almost any language you can imagine. It’s perfect for those of us who wish to strengthen our listening skills. As you can see by the picture above, SBS offers regularly updated podcats and news for many different language speakers. It’s really easy to navigate and there are so many different audio recordings to listen to for practice. It’s really overwhelming for someone who loves learning foreign languages like myself.  Luckily there are so many radio shows/podcasts that cover a variety of topics. Some of these podcasts will even include a short article that summarizes the topic!  Each language has it’s own homepage and each podcast recording as it’s own page, so you can tell that there is an abundance of resources at the SBS website. There are also so many different programmes and speakers which is great because you can hear different pronunciations and choice of words, which obviously encourages a vast background in the language.

You can also download the your favorite programme’s podcast in case you want to listen to them offline!

And the best part is… there are also applications available for mobile devices! I find that the problem with most podcasts is that they are really hard to listen to on the go. With this SBS application you can listen to your favorite podcasts in a really convenient.

The phone application has mostly everything the website provides such as:

  • Built-in live radio that rotates (so you can listen to different languages)
  • Recent podcasts that are found on the website for every language listed
  • Polls
  • And more

Download the application for your device:

ANDROID + IOS

Anyways, I defnitiley encourage you use this website! Podcasts are especially great for those of you who don’t have the opportunity to talk with other speakers.
